Fredro Starr said that Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre should have been sued because they mess up a $1 million deal for him.
The Onyx artist told The Art of Dialogue about the crаzy events that he says caused him to miss out on a seven-figure payout.
Onyx were on Dr. Dre’s Chronic Tour in 1993, which also included Snoop, Run-DMC, and the late Bo$$.
The tour was canceled after only a few dates because a driver was reportedly kidnapped by people in Tha Doggfather’s group.
Starr said that he was already angry that he had to turn down a part in the Michelle Pfeiffer movie Dangerous Minds so that he could go on the tour. He was even more angry when the trek was canceled.
“The trip was over. Thrown out. We went on a tour. It was planned that we would make a lot of money, n-gga, he said.
“I quit Dangerous Minds and all that other crаp. It went crаzy with Dangerous Minds. I wouldn’t be mаd about that if the tour had gone well, but it didn’t.
He then said that Onyx missed out on a good merchandise deal when the tour was canceled and were even sued by their partners.
“We had crаzy stuff.” We had just agreed to sell merchandise for $1 million. The goods wouldn’t sell. What do you think? The merch n-ga’s need money.
“The merchandise company sued us,” he said.
“You see, we should have sued Dr. Dre, Snoop, and those n-ggas because they were to blame for the tour being canceled.” We were the ones who had to pay.”So, what happened was that someone called me and said, ‘Hey, Dre wants this kind of gu𝚗.’
