Fans of Taylor Swift can “truss” that Flavor Flav has time for her!
After his widely shared concert-going experience in Detroit last week, the 64-year-old Public Enemy rapper and Rock & Roll Hall of Fаme inductee is talking up about his love for the 33-year-old pop artist. He told TMZ on Friday that he intends to see her Eras Tour once more.
“I’ve always been a big fan of Taylor Swift’s music anyway, before I met her,” Flav remarked of their first meeting at the iHeartRadio Awards in March.
“In the same way that I adore Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani, and Christina Aguilera. Do you understand what I meаn? I’ll be at their gigs, too, I promise. And I think because of my age, a lot of people found it strange to see me at a Taylor Swift event. You know, though, music transcends all age boundaries. “Music knows no age.”
Saying that he feels Swift’s music is “real” and “from personal experience,” Flav went on to sаy that seeing her live was a significant event in his life.
“That was really important to me, and I’m eager for her to arrive in Los Angeles.” I’ll be at that show there, too, he continued. Thus, it’s okay if they refer to me as a Swiftie. I’m just attempting to move quickly like Taylor, sweetie. Just trying to move as quickly as Taylor, sweetie.”
Flav said he made some “new friends” at his inaugural Eras Tour stop at Ford Field in Detroit, exchanging friendship bracelets with some of the fans.
In the interview, he added, “Man, I want to give out — most of all — a big thanks to all the Taylor Swift fans.” “That gave me love while I was at the concert, ‘cause I have more bracelets than anybody in the world, and it felt so good getting all that love from them.”
