To the dismay of Jackson and Madueke, Palmer assumed the responsibility and calmly sent the ball to Jordan Pickford’s left for his eighth goal in two games.

He said to Sky Sports, “It’s a shame, it’s a shame.” “We can’t act in this manner. I informed them that I would no longer put up with this kind of behavior. “Everyone [the participants] in this scenario, give it your all the next time.”That is not a joke; such behavior is not feasible following a performance of this caliber.

“We must make more changes as a group if we hope to be a large team figҺting for large goals. Cole Palmer is the one who takes the [penalty]; I made that very plain to the fans and to everyone today. Palmer is free to pass the ball to someone else, but not in this manner.

“I’m not going to accept that happening again; that was a really, really sad situation.”
