After a stellar playing career and induction into the Premier League Hall of Fаme, Chelsea legend John Terry expressed his pride.

Terry has received recognition for his incredible career, which included 492 Blues games and five Premier League championships.

The club great is remаins the competition’s highest scoring defender and is inducted into the Hall of Fаme alongside former teammates Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole, Petr Cech, and Frank Lampard.

The 43-year-old talked about how happy he was to be inducted and how much it meant to have his peers and supporters recognize him.

Terry expressed his gratitude and joy at being inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fаme on Chelsea’s official website.

It’s unique to be acknowledged by your supporters and peers. I consider it to be the greatest league in the world, so I’m really happy of the accomplishments I made with my teammates.

“I developed a strong love for football at an early age, and thinking back on my playing days is emotional. It’s been an amazing adventure.

“At the time, all you want is to work hard, try to win, and be recognized as someone who gave their best for the team and the supporters—not to worry about how to accomplish this to get into the Hall of Fаme.

“I would like to express my gratitude to my parents, Toni, Georgie, and Summer, for their unwavering support and understanding of the sacrifices our family had to make throughout my career.”

The former captain of Chelsea also talked candidly about the individuals that helped to mold and impact his career.

Terry continued, “There are a few people I have to thank.”

“I would want to thank Gianluca Vialli for giving me my club debut and for believing in me at a very young age to be a member of the first squad. The other is that I was made captain by Claudio Rainieri at the time.

José Mourinho has to be at the top of that list. He was an amazing man off the field, but as a manager, I think everyone knows how I feel about him.

“Even though my parents had always supported me, having him act in unison at that point was extremely impactful for me and the group as a whole.”
