According to rumors, CHELSEA has benefited from Barcelona’s decision to withdrаw from the competition to recruit Estevao Willian.
Stamford Bridge is showing interest in the sixteen-year-old wonderkid.
Although Barcelona has been connected to the Brazilian beauty as well, they are now planning to go a different route.
The Spanish newspaper Sport claims that because Barca is attempting to create the ideal environment for Lamine Yamal, they will not make a bid for the winger, nicknamed “Messinho.”
Yamal, 16, has already established himself as one of the top players for the Catalan giants.
Willian plays the same position and is the same age, so club executives believe Yamal won’t develop as much if he joins.
For his services, his team Palmeiras is expected to want at least £51 million.
Furthermore, it might even cost up to £65 million to get rid of him.
According to rumors, Palmeiras will receive 70% of any transfer price, with the player’s entourage keeping the remaining 30%.
It would take Willian until April 2025, when he reaches 18, to be able to join his next club.
In addition to playing well for Brazil at the Under-17 World Cup last year, he has made six senior appearances for his club thus far.
The Selecao standout Endrick, who scored the game-winning goal against England at Wembley last month, has played alongside the wonderkid.
When Endrick reaches 18 in July, he’ll go from Palmeiras to Real Madrid.
Brazilian wonderkids have become a Chelsea recruiting habit since Todd Boehly joined the team in 2022.
In recent seasons, the Blues have made big moves to acquire Deivid Washingtоn, Angelo Gabriel, and Andrey Santos.
