In reaction to the startling rumors that Jack Grealish would quit Manchester City and sign with Chelsea in the summer, Fabrizio Romano has issued a forceful statement.
Due to his strugglе to start at left flank against new signing Jeremy Doku, Grealish has had a disappointing season. Although not all of the Englishman’s 35 appearances in all competitions have been starts.
Grealish has only managed three goals and three assists this season, and he is also having trouble calling games for Man City.

There have been rumors in recent weeks suggesting that City may want to unload their £100 million signing this summer.
Grealish, who led Aston Villa as a young player before joining City in August 2021, has been linked to a return to his childhood team.
In spite of his prior Champions League collision with Atletico Madrid’s defender Stefan Savic, the 28-year-old is also expected to move to Spain and sign with the team.
Sensational rumors circulated on Tuesday indicating Chelsea had internal talks about pursuing Grealish.
Romano, though, has put an end to such rumors, saying that City has no intention of allowing Grealish to depart, much less selling him to a rival English team like Chelsea.
Jack Grealish to Chelsea: The conversation is over
“I know there have been some somewhat surprising links with Jack Grealish with Chelsea,” the writer stated in his most recent Daily Briefing essay.
But I don’t know anything about this; at this stage of the season, Manchester City isn’t even internally talking about Grealish’s future. Everything is silent.
If City decides to trade Grealish, they would much rather negotiate with a foreign club, like a Saudi franchise or a major European team. This would stop them from bolstering Chelsea, a rival in the Premier League. It is unclear, though, if the star would think about leaving England.
In an effort to maximize their initial £100 million investment, it is far more probable that City will retain Grealish for at least one more season.
In order to cycle the City team between several tournaments, Pep Guardiola also like to have two elite players in each position. Even though both Grealish and Doku would want to start every major game, they both undoubtedly supply that on the left flank.
