There have been long-running rumors that several teams are interested in signing Georgiy Sudakov, the head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk, a Ukrainian team. A number of Italian teams, along with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham, have all shown interest. Chelsea has now made the decision to enter the race.
This season, Sudakov has been putting up fantastic performances. He has one goal for the national team and nine goals for his club in all competitions.
Sergey Palkin, the executive director of Shakhtar, was at Stamford Bridge when Everton lost 6-0. It is thought that he may have discussed the transfer of Sudakov. The Ukrainian’s deal is worth £65 million, and Chelsea representatives probably wаnted to make it clear.
Subsequently, Palkin told the media that several teams were showing interest in Sudakov.
“He has a tremendous opportunity to move to numerous elite teams this summer transfer window.
Some of the major clubs with which we have connections don’t negotiate with us directly.”
It’s important to note that Sudakov may become Chelsea’s second recent Ukrainian signing.
