Kevin Hart has built a successful career on his witty self-deprecating humor, but he is really proud of the parent he is.
This week’s PEOPLE features a quote from Hart, 39, who says, “I’m definitely, like, the best dad in the world.” Why? “I am aware of time,” he states.
Despite being busy promoting his new comedy Night School, the proud father of 10-year-old son Hendrix and 13-year-old daughter Heaven from his former marriage, as well as 10-month-old son Kenzo Kash with wife Eniko, never lets his schedule get in the way of spending time with his children.
He states, “Time is the most important thing you can give your kids.” Every day doesn’t have to be the greatest occasion. I spend time watching TV while lounging on a couch.
Hart goes on, “Time is going for a stroll. Taco Tuesdays are the time. Wednesdays are board game time. Spending time with your kids while at home involves simply lying on the floor and having them crawl on your back.
Furthermore, he discloses that there might be a greater need for Dad’s time in the near future. Following his adultery incident last year, Hart and Eniko, 34, had their relationship “tested.” This past year was their two-year wedding anniversary, and Eniko has great plans for the future.
Hart claims, “That woman is 100 percent responsible for the level of happiness that I’ve reached.” Regarding what will bring Eniko joy, he says, “She wants another baby.”
Before they welcomed Kenzo, Hart acknowledged that he was nervous about becoming a father once more, but he has since come to terms with it. “Little man, big family,” he quips.
When? “Who knows,” Hart responds. “I just have to stop talking and tell you, honey, if that’s what you want.” All this house is doing is growing larger and noisier.
As far as Hart’s “amazing” parenting goes, there’s only one qualification. I’m not going to change any diapers. I will not lie. “[I’ll] handle everything else,” he insists, but he tells his wife, “Baby, you got to get that,” when it comes to changing diapers. Get that right there.
